Requirements for $2,500 Scholarship

1) Must be of at least twenty-five (25%) Italian-American descent…one parent at least ½ Italian.

2) Must be going to a post-secondary school and must be a senior at Faith Christian School, McGuffey, Trinity or Washington High School, or the child of an active member of the Primo Italiano Lodge 2800, regardless of the school district.

Please choose one of the following options for your submission:

Personal essay: Please answer “What does ‘being Italian’ mean to you?” Target length is 300 words. Please exclude any family names in your essay.

Video Submission: Target length of 3-5 minutes, show us what “being Italian” means to you. Be creative! Cook with us, show and tell, reenact one of your favorite memories, or interview an Italian relative comparing their life to yours. 

Deadline dor submissions is May 1, 2023. 

Recipient, along with his/her parents/guardians will be guests at our May 15, 2023 dinner meeting to present their winning essay/video and receive the $2,500 scholarship award.
